Man oh man is the summer one busy time of the year! I’ve had so many plans in the works for so long (friends’ weddings, trips, etc) and they are hitting all at once! Stay tuned with me on instagram @lotsoflovelyblog to keep up to date on my daily happenings and I’ll be blogging here as often as I can. One of the exciting trips I’ve recently gone on was to the beautiful Colorado to participate as a vendor for the Develop Retreat, an amazing retreat for photographers to further their craft and learn about the managerial side of owning a business. I did hair for the photoshoots and got to play {a lot} in my downtime. It was an absolutely amazing trip and I vow to never go to the mountains without a professional photographer by my side…I mean, my iPhone pictures just don’t even compare! Here’s a peek at one of the days that I decided to try out my modeling skills while incredible photographer Alicia Pyne snapped a few photos of me. Hope you enjoy!

Hi friends! So I know I’ve been a little AWOL over the past few weeks but its all for good reason…I have been working on some exciting projects around the house (in addition to going on vacation + crazy wedding season happening right now) and I’m finally ready to show you one of them! This has been a project in the making for well over a year and I feel this huge sigh of relief that it feels finished! Our master bedroom/bathroom has been one of the most highly neglected areas of the house ever since my husband and I got married. Why? Oh that’s because its the least likely place in the home that guests will see. I’m all about presentation so having the “guest-ready” parts of the house completed first made the most sense to me in the beginning. BUT, let me just let you in on a little secret….we spend the majority of the time in our bedroom/bathroom area and it’s been killing me to not feel complete in that part of the house. Well the wait is over because as of last night, I put the finishing touches on our master bedroom and its ready to be revealed to you! Sit, stay awhile, be inspired, and be kind.

Happy Mother’s Day, lovelies! I had the idea to treat my mom and mother in law to a little “spa at home” gift for Mother’s Day this year and thought you might enjoy seeing it! One of my favorite rest and relaxation treats is to have a LUSH bath. If you don’t know what LUSH is, let me just tell you…you’ve been missing out. It’s an all organic, animal testing free, cosmetic and bath product line that you can find in malls or stand alone stores. My favorite product of theirs is bath bombs which range in color, scent, purpose, etc. I included two regular bath bombs and two bubble bath bombs in each of my moms’ goodie bags. Knowing my mom and mother in law well, they always look after others before themselves so I thought they’d enjoy a few makeup products for some extra primping. As you all know, I work for a hair and makeup company so I picked up a few products that the makeup artists I work with have been raving about, in addition to a gift card from Sephora so that these special ladies can pick out an item or two of their own. I put all of these treats in a cute woven basket (from TJ Maxx) and ta – da, there you have a great gift idea for the mom/s in your life! Hope you enjoy!
