Confession: I have been a less than ideal blogger lately. I know you don’t want to hear my list of excuses as to why I have fallen off the blogging wagon but what you do NEED to know is that I took a little road trip to the quaint city of Waco, Texas yesterday to visit Magnolia Market and guess what….I feel INSPIRED. For the first time in a long time, I feel inspired about the home and making it beautiful. I just loved this little shop on Bosque and had to take some beautiful pictures of the place. For those of you who don’t know, the owners of the shop have their own HGTV show called Fixer Upper and if you haven’t been watching it, let me just tell you that you have been missing out! The couple is charming, dynamic, and oh so talented. They are soon to take their show and shop to new heights (literally) by doing a massive renovation on a new location in town: the Silos. I had to visit the little shop before they moved to a new location so I had an excuse to make the trip TWICE. If you’re interested in seeing more of their journey, feel free to check them out here.

Working on a post to show you my purchases and thinking of doing a little Texas road tripping how to if any of you are interested?! Sit back, relax, and enjoy the beauty below.

  • Kylee Blanchard - Candice!! These photos are amazing! Love this post thank you for sharing :) I am so excited so see what you boughtReplyCancel

  • Sara Holt - I will never be able to visit that shop for one simple reason. I’d leave with wayyyy too much! I can’t get over the cuteness. I’ll take one of everything, please!ReplyCancel

  • Gwen - I think I am convinced! A road trip to Waco is in the near future!!!ReplyCancel

Because this summer has been SO trip filled (not complaining one bit!), the house décor has been a bit neglected…meaning it hasn’t changed since I did a little spring cleaning a few months ago. Today felt like a good day to revamp a few nooks and I started with some subtle changes to the bar cart. This piece can be super functional when hosting but I like to stage it in the meantime. Hope you enjoy!

Confession: I almost ALWAYS style my little vignettes before I take pictures of them but on occasion, the mess I make naturally just kind of looks pretty. My jewelry vanity right now is the perfect case in point. I’ve been on the go most of the summer and the house hasn’t really had a whole lot of updating but I have done a fair share of shopping so my jewelry area has quite a few new additions! I thought I’d snap a few photos of what this area looks like in real life. There are a few attempts at organization but mainly, the necklaces, rings, and bracelet strewn all over are what happens in my somehow always hurried getting ready moments. Enjoy!
