lots of lovely » fashion. lifestyle. home.

Fun fact: I can recreate almost anything I see. Whether it be an outfit, a hairstyle, a picture, or a home decorating inspiration…if I see it, I can repeat it. Some have mistakenly called me “creative” and while I take the compliment, I don’t think its accurate. I’m simply a fantastic copycat. For this room, I copied a picture on Pinterest (I spend entirely way too much time on there) of a living room that encompassed everything I was wanting ours to be…cozy, comfy, but with a touch of glamour. It was so fun searching for pillows, blankets and candles to give our living room the romance and sparkle it needed. Hope you enjoy! I’ll credit below where I bought all of our items.

In just a few days, I will be jet setting across the country to sunny California for a hair and makeup convention with the company I work for. I am SO pumped to be going because A) I love to go on any trips, any time and B) I’ve never been to California and I cannot wait to see what I’ve been missing. I thought it would be a good idea to give some basic traveling style tips in honor of my trip. Here we go:

1) Wear comfortable, easily slide-off-able shoes (think airport security people).

2) Throw on a chambray button down, perfect for the always unknown airplane temperature.

3) Grab a bag like the one below from Target for a stylish catch all when flying (one big bag > several littles).

4) Bring reading material of your choice (of course, I typically choose to catch up on my recent celebrity gossip).

5) Add some sunnies for when you get off the plane and arrive in your new destination for a few days!

6) Throw that fedora on for the plane ride if you’re planning on wearing it during the trip. Nothing worse than finding your hat smashed in your luggage when you land.

My husband and I just moved into our first home and we are absolutely loving it! In our new home, we have some great square footage in our master bedroom/bathroom area which is fantastic, only problem is the shape of the room. It looks a bit like a hot dog if we’re being honest. Long and skinny…and that makes decorating a little difficult. I was feeling a little crammed in our closet with all of my jewelry being stored in there and saw picture on Pinterest that inspired me to make a little jewery station in our master bedroom. My thought was that it would designate a part of the room to just me and my girly things and would break the space up a bit. Its truly done just that and I love my quick stop by this area of our room every morning. Again, I’ve listed where I purchased all of the items (minus the actual jewelry) down below if you are interested! Enjoy!
